Passwords give me a rash! Just thinking about them makes me lose my balance and my footing in this world and sends me adrift into the etherworld, where I am lost together with all the passwords I ever forgot or changed! I am no longer just a name, birthday and social security number; and no one else that I know is defined that way, either. It seems the world shrank and expanded at the same time. What’s the word for that? Entropy?
The Internet Universe is pretty much as close to outer space as I’ll ever be. So much happening all at once. Focusing? It used to be a standard for quality performance. Now the standard is “multi-tasking without losing focus.”
Is that even possible?
Do I have to keep creating, remembering and using passwords for the rest of my life? Wouldn’t it be easier to implant a chip in Me? In my middle finger, where it can sense tapping on a keyboard, say?
I’d better get to the point.
Internet Providers in Placitas
Placitas is the point. People who live in Placitas are e-savvy, at least having an e-mail address and a cell phone. Here in Placitas we have internet access mainly either through Century Link, Comcast-XFinity or Southwest Cyberport. People with security systems have monitoring which is capable of alerting their neighbors and the Sandoval County Sheriff’s office when an alarm goes off. The monitoring company will want your password. Most of the people I know in Placitas use either The Alarm Store (locally owned) or ADT,
Some cell phone providers work better than others in some parts of Placitas. I use Verizon. My cell phone, like this blog, is password protected.
If passwords are the new normal, maybe I should download an app to help me manage my passwords but I would need a password for the passwords, for sure, sending me further into the dark kingdom of forgetting…
